David L. Hughes graduated from Brigham Young University in 1973 and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1985. He is admitted to practice law in Utah, California, all Federal District and Appellate Courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hughes was one of the founding partners of Howell, Fetzer & Hughes located in Salt Lake City, Utah. On February 1, 1990, Howell, Fetzer & Hughes= Southern California operations merged with Booth, Mitchel & Strange LLP.
Mr. Hughes is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer specializing in surety and construction issues. He handles all aspects of payment and performance bond issues, including indemnity, subrogation and affirmative claims on behalf of sureties and contractors.
