Mr. Lewi is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles (1986) and Loyola Law School (1989). Mr. Lewi joined Booth, Mitchel & Strange, LLP, in July 1994. He is a Senior Associate at the Firm.
Mr. Lewi focuses on civil litigation in State and Federal courts. His main practice areas include appellate work where he has argued numerous times before the Court of Appeal, business litigation, bankruptcy, and judgment enforcement. Mr. Lewi also has wide experience in the areas of construction contract and surety, construction defect, personal injury, employment, real estate, business disputes, and mass tort and other complex litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants, and both institutional and private clients.
Mr. Lewi is admitted to practice in California, all California United States District Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a long standing member of the State Bar Litigation Section and has presented a paper to the Western States Surety Conference on the rights and obligations of a construction bond surety when its bond principal files bankruptcy.
Mr. Lewi, born and raised in Southern California, has one daughter and lives in Long Beach.
